- JON’S DVDs YOU MAY HAVE MISSED -

Sometimes, our personal movie lexicon may be wanting: hell, we all miss terrific movies now and again, below is my short list of movies that I've come across people not knowing.  I use the amazon.com rating only as a purely unscientific guide to determine where internet sales for a title fall, some are really high on that list, some below.  Hopefully, you may get some ideas for a rental this weekend or a gift idea for that friend you're trying to stump.

You will find that some of the suggestions (one per week – all year) are not some obscure gem, though some are exactly that.  I’ve chosen existing DVDs that you may have missed, or haven’t thought of watching, or were hiding behind the mess of “Matrix: Revolutions”.  My criteria is purely based on movies that have a certain and definitive importance to the history of movies AND are extremely entertaining in their own right.  I have also color coded the links to aid your browsing!  Come back soon!
